In my role as a UI/UX designer for the JingBao project, I led a comprehensive research-driven process that informed every stage of the design strategy. The process included:
I facilitated and analyzed an in-depth brand discovery questionnaire to uncover JingBao’s brand story, core values, and distinguishing factors in the preschool education industry.
Through structured interviews and targeted surveys, I gathered insights into parents' and educators' needs, identifying key pain points such as concerns about children's growth and communication channels. This research guided the problem-solving approach that addressed both user and client priorities.
I crafted a website strategy, selecting strategic features to meet the client's goals while maintaining a balance between user requests and operational practicality. This included discussions on which elements to prioritize, such as focusing on detailed bios for campus directors rather than transient staff to ensure consistency.
I curated mood boards, chose typography, and developed a cohesive color scheme to create a premium and trustworthy look, ensuring adherence to WCAG guidelines for accessibility. This step involved careful inspection and feedback integration, addressing concerns like text clarity and color contrast.
The feedback collected from various stakeholders informed design iterations but was selectively implemented to align with the business's long-term objectives. For instance, while teacher profile enhancements were deemed non-essential, a focus on community-driven solutions was maintained.
My workflow prioritized thorough research, strategic planning, and iterative design, ensuring that the final product was innovative, inclusive, and supportive of the client's vision for a community-focused, comprehensive early education platform.
